There are Two Sides to Every Story

The dynamics of my second grade class had changed drastically in the last month of my employment at my old school. Samuel had always been the alpha male until he *umm* shat his pants in class about three week before I left so all the other boys wouldn't follow him any more. It was utter chaos. All the other males were jostling for power, but no leader had emerged--I still think Lucy can take them on.

On top of all that, Warlord was in the process of being moved up from the remedial class. He had always been the little sweetheart of the class until he stopped getting as much one on one help. He had always really liked me, so he found out he could get lots of teachah time by becoming a dipshit--his digression can be witnessed in the later Warlord posts.

Well, four of my boys, Michael, Warlord, and Davids 1 and 2 had an incident. Michael and Warlord ended up with detention. I made them write out what had happened...

Michael:

Hello teacher. I am Michael. I did do it because Warlord bother David 2 first and I am bother David 2 second. Then David 1 start crying. I don't know why. So you write my name on board and I say Warlord too! And you write Warlord too and me and Warlord detention too and Warlord shout me first and I am sad and I say bad talk with Warlord. Very very sorry teacher.

Warlord:

I'm sorry Danny-teacher. I was speaking loudly and was talking with my friend. Michael said very, very, very, very loudly and made David 1 cry. He did bad speaking to David 2, so I did bad speaking to David 2. I said to my friend so I don't heard my teacher. I should speaking quietly and not speaking Korean. I doesn't speaking my friend. But Michael did yell at me first, so I am yelled at him. I should speak quietly and not throw chairs and desks so I am not do detention.
